The Nightbirds perform their cover of “I Can Hear Music“, most known by The Beach Boys in 1969.
The first 26-minutes of Gracious’ performance at the Isle Of Wight festival 1970. Tracks included “Super Nova“; performed for the first time in public, and their single “Once On a Windy Day”; which included a jazzy instrumental passage before an extended solo by Alan Cowderoy. “C.B.S.“ a song inspired by Kitcat’s love for C.B.S. records, was performed as an encore though no audio or footage has been found.
For some more context the Isle Of Wight Festival of 1970 was held during late August, only 2 months after the release of “Gracious!“ and 3 months before recording for their 2nd album “This is… Gracious!!“. The band showed up late and performed the last set of the Thursday night. The band were not featured on any posters or advertisements after management failed to confirm the bands presence with the promoters.
